The enquiry form asks for your name and email address, and optionally your phone number, company, the service you are interested in, the project location and a description of your project. We use these details only to reply to your enquiry and to discuss the project with you.

When you press Send enquiry, the details go to our website server, which checks them and passes them to Resend, an email delivery service, which emails them to the J&B team’s inbox. The website does not keep its own database of enquiries.

• Resend keeps a copy of sent messages and delivery logs for To confirm: the period set by our Resend plan and settings.
• Enquiries in the J&B inbox are kept for To confirm: retention period, e.g. while the enquiry or project is active and for N years afterwards.
• Inbox provider: To confirm: name of the email service hosting the J&B mailbox.

If online enquiries are not connected, the form does not send anything; it prepares an email in your own email app instead.

To stop automated spam, the form includes a hidden field that people do not see, and a signed timestamp that shows how long the form was open. To limit repeated submissions, your connection’s IP address is converted on our server into a one-way coded value (a keyed hash). Only that coded value is used, as part of submission counters kept in Upstash (a Redis database service) so the limit works across our servers. Each counter deletes itself automatically after at most 24 hours. The IP address itself is not stored. Upstash data region: To confirm: region of the Upstash database.

Our hosting provider, Vercel, records technical request logs (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) to run and secure the service. These logs are kept for To confirm: the period set by our Vercel plan.

The public website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and does not load fonts or scripts from third parties in your browser. Photographs, and the homepage background video when one is used, are delivered through our own website address.

J&B staff who preview unpublished content receive a technical preview cookie. Staff sign in to the content editor with Sanity, which processes their name and email address to manage their account.
